Get Involved!

Besides attending the regular meetings, be sure to enter our contests and check out our outings. The outings are the best way to get to know some other club members better.

Volunteer!

We really need your help! From our big events such as the Plant Sale, Queensborough Urban Farmers Fair, and Silent Auction to monthly meetings, volunteers keep things running! We need hands to do the work, drivers and cars to move things, brains to organize and advertise. Look around at one of our regular meetings -- volunteers set up, make tea, run the raffle, run the library, and clean up.

Do you have other talents that we could use? Do you want to organize an outing? Write a letter for the newsletter? Something that we haven't even thought of? Bring your ideas to an executive member -- we'd love to hear them!

If you really want to be involved, consider running for an executive position! This is a great way to get to know the inner workings of the club, and to lend your voice (and hands!) in shaping the direction of the club. President and Vice-President are two year terms. Other postions are Secretary, Treasurer, Show Chairperson and five Members-At-Large
